Overview
Le Papillon Penthouse enjoys one of the best locations on St. Martin, with many wonderful restaurants nearby and a beach that is close to private and ideal for long walks.
We also have 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom units available in this building. That way our guests can come alone or with the entire family and we always have a place for them.
Overlooking the entire Simpson Bay beach, the comfortable 4560 sq. feet penthouse is equipped with everything a visitor might need. The long list of our luxurious amenities is shown below.
Guests are welcome with a drink. Selection of drinks can be found in the fridge and in our free bar.
A great selection of restaurants can be found within convenient walking distance. To name a few:
Skip Jack - local fisherman's restaurant; Bamboo - amazing sushi and more; Top Carrot - vegetarian and healthy meals; Avantika - very elegant place with Thai cuisine; Sale & Pepe - great Italian place; Toppers - American cuisine; Yacht Club - a great place to watch boats coming into lagoon and drink; Pizza Italy - another Italian cuisine; Palapa Grill - known for great steaks and more; Atlantico - an amazing bakery.
Some restaurants can even be accessed without putting your shoes on. That includes Karakter, Mary's boon and El Zafiro. They can be enjoyed right on the beach.
The building itself was finished in 2014. It was courageously designed and built by doctor who owned the property. The building is so well made that even with hurricane Irma we had minimal damage, although all the roof of our neighbors ended up on this building. We had lots of decorative damages but luckily nothing major.
Simpson Bay Area is becoming very popular. There are few reasons why:
There are only 2 beaches on this island that are great for long relaxing walks, and this is one of them.
People do not need a car here to be able to get to places and good restaurants. They do not feel isolated here.
And also because Simpson Bay is a nice combination of touristic and local culture. It used to be a fisherman's village and it still holds some of that charm. This combination makes this area safer as well as less crowded.

Layout of the penthouse:
The penthouse is located on the third floor of the building. And the penthouse itself takes up 3 floors, making the last floor the sixth floor of the building.
The first floor of the penthouse consists of the kitchen, living room, dinning room, one bedroom & bathroom, laundry room, powder room, and the main terrace. On the second floor you can find a master bedroom & bathroom with its own terrace and walk in closet as well as the last bedroom with its bathroom. The third floor is the roof top terrace with jacuzzi, summer kitchen, lounging and dining area.

Wonderful Vacation
Fantastic rental property with great space and privacy. The views are spectacular from the master bedroom as well as all the outdoor living spaces. The rooftop sunset views were excellent!

Truly Awesome!
My wife and I have been making an annual trip to St. Martin for nearly 20 years, typically staying at a timeshare resort but in recent past been opting for rentals due to condition of the resort. This year we rented a week at Le Papillon Penthouse Apt #7 - by far the best place we have stayed. Modern yet simple decor, but high-end with flair from top to bottom. The construction in solid, the location is amazing - the beach is a minute walk, chairs & kayaks provided, and Palm trees much appreciated!! Gorgeous sunsets, terrific views, and amenities abound. Just about in the heart of Simpson Bay nightlife at end of airport run way. Noise not bad at all and cool seeing the private as well as commercial flights take off as well as the top yachts in the world nearly right off the balcony!

Great relaxing vacation At Simpson Bay! Really enjoyed the condo. It was very spacious and the beach around it it’s very quiet! Kind it was great for a family of six! Convenient to restaurants and shopping too!
