The beach is rock free and so is the water. Kids can safely dig & build sand castles until their hearts are content.
The water is child friendly being shallow with a white sand bottom free of sea grass.
Enjoy a lunch on your private patio with 6 seater patio table and umbrella; grill your own on the gas grill on the patio or 'take-in' as you please.
Further Details: All 3 bedrooms each have a Queen Size bed.Downstairs bedroom has a connecting bathroom.with a bath/shower combination. Upstairs js a full size bthroom with a very large shower stall..
The cottage is on a quiet street away from the main road.
Although I was born in Nassau, Bahamas, my Father was born in Spanish Wells.
As a child I enjoyed virtually every Summer Holiday staying here for weeks at a time with my Grand Mother. Some of my most treasured childhood memories are of these times in Spanish Wells with family and friends.
I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to purchase this beautiful cottage & property that all residents agree is located on the absolute 'best' part of the 'Northside beach'

About The Owner: I am 61 years old and a business owner in partnership with my brother. I enjoy most of all spending time at the cottage relaxing on the beach with a good book. I work very hard and find these little breaks most gratifying.

A little slice of tranquility.
Island Waves was everything we had hoped it would be. The house was well stocked with everything we needed from beach towels to pots and pans. The back yard was perfect for that 1st cup of coffee - a comfortable chair, sand between our toes, a beautiful beach and an ocean that is incredibly beautiful. The house is ideally situated as everything Spanish Wells has to offer is nearby. Mr. Higgs was quick to respond to all our questions which we appreciated. Leaving island Waves after 6 relaxing weeks was hard. If you rent Island Waves I guarantee you will not regret it. We can’t wait to get back.

Beautiful home on a beautiful island
Everything about our stay was spectacular, the home, the island, the beach, the people. This home is fully equipped with everything you’ll need for your stay. Ample room for all of our family to be spread around. Right on a beautiful and quiet beach. We walked for miles with our little ones along the beach, the shallow waters were great for the kids. Mr. Underwood met us at the port and accompanied us right to the front door. It was very easy to get in contact with the owner and the home caretaker. Like I said everyone on the island is very friendly!

Excellent beachfront stay
This was the 4th different Spanish Wells home we have rented in the past 5 years. The updating is above average for the island. The owner was easy to contact and very responsive. The house is directly on the best part of the beach. The water has become a little more shallow on the entire beach since the last hurricane but that is all of the beach. Great house that we plan to rent again. We have 3 kids who loved having two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.

Great Location on Spanish Wells
The house is great! 60 feet from the crescent beach that you can walk for ever on!! Conveniently located in town. Hot water outdoor shower. Comfortable furniture. Perfect for a family looking to enjoy Spanish Wells.

Highly recommended and great location
Mr. Higgs has a great property. Four adults and four kids ( ages 7, 5, 3 and almost 2) and the place was perfect for all of us. The kitchen is spacious and well equiped. Access to the beach is immediate and breakfast on the porch was a must everyday. Some water toys in house and everything else you might need for a great vacation on the beach. Bicycles would be a good addition. You can get a golf cart for a great price from Mr. Underwood too.
